downtown Marietta and the Square are very vibrant with shops and restaurants. Today and in a metro area with lots of high rises this looks like small Georgia county seat even though this county has over 750.000 people.  Lots of sidewalk dining.

ThyssenKrupp is still taking space but less of it at their new tower and elevator test tower site in the Battery.

Back in Cobb and Truist Park is open to fans to watch the game on jumbotron tonight.   Very lively with the restaurants, bars etc.   Today.  The Battery is a very successful entertainment district with a hotel, offices, and apartments and the stadium all on site.  It draws people even without games as a downtown Cobb County.   This area before Truist Park and the Battery was a just a shopping mall and office towers scattered about now it is more of a town center centered on the Battery.  and the newest tallest building in Cobb the Thyssen Krupp elevator test tower.

Papa Johns Pizza new office will be located in 3 Ballpark Center next to the elevator test tower with 200 new jobs.

The Battery has become a great mixed used project with apartments, a hotel, retail, restaurants, entertainment venue and on yeah a baseball stadium Truist Park.   And yes  MLB make a HUGE mistake by moving the All Star game from here.

Tallest tower in Cobb County looking good the elevator test tower.  Drive bys on 285.  Traffic backed going towards I-20 but not for me heading towards Perimeter Center./ Dunwoody.

Downtown Acworth just one of the many small towns a part of metro area and in Cobb County.   Downtown would be a great place for a commuter rail station into downtown/midtown Atlanta.
