Apparently Streetlights Residential still has the .7 acre former NES power station site at 210 10th Ave. North under contract, and a closing could materialize within the next 6 months.

Just saw they were building in The Central district in Dallas (https://www.dallasnews.com/business/real-estate/2022/10/27/japan-based-developer-partners-on-new-dallas-apartment-high-rise/). I saw they had a Nashville office and then found out they had a building proposed. Guess this one is taking a lot long than other projects to materialize.

They’re building the two residential towers as part of the AEG district, I’d imagine those are the focus for now.

StreetLights Residential has finalized the purchase of the .71 acre former NES substation lot at 210 10th Ave. North for $17 million. No word as to when they will be moving forward with plans for a residential tower.  The site is zoned for 30 stories.

Knowing now that right next door, will be Nashville’s 750 foot tallest . Does that change Streetlights plan? I would suppose that the side facing 1010 will not have many windows or if it does the view won’t be that great.

I think the adage is if it is apartments then who cares. The bad views will rent for less. All of their views may be crap before long! Who knows?

That’s true, I’m all for density. Been in many NYC buildings that look out into the windows of the next building in line…. Might be safe to say , the top floors of 1010 are going to be expensive!

I wonder the same thing.  Certainly it would make developers consider placing the building at an angle and on a podium that gives considerable space apart from the taller tower. I could see a tower situated at a SW-NE axis with views to the NW/SE.
