I won't feel comfortable until Jan 20, 2021 when hopefully Joe raises his right hand and has the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Roberts.

Until then, I'm not counting any chickens until I see those fuzzy little yellow fowls chirping amidst their broken egg shells.

...and you shouldn't feel comfortable...

Anyway, James Buchanan thanks you. He’s no longer the nation’s worst president.

well, when Socialists have been in control of this country for decades, then Trump would of course be seen as the worst president ever or the worst Socialist ever because he's NOT a Socialist.

Um, last I checked, Socialists WERE fascists...

Not at all. Just because in Germany they appropriated the name doesn’t mean it’s how they governed. East Germany called itself Democratic, it wasn’t.

...and just because Leftists appropriated the name "Liberal" doesn't make them such.  A real Liberal is a Libertarian.  Anyone that wants big government interfering in our lives and censoring people is  leftist.  I'm sorry, but it is.

Meanwhile, we need to do this on a Youtube channel that's monetized so we can make some cheddar from it.  Oh, wait, Youtube would pull it as soon as they hear a conservative viewpoint that didn't meet their code of conduct.  sorry, we can only talk about leftism and call it normal since everyone is in agreement that is a leftist and then it wouldn't get pulled.

Given what the right-wing goofballs of this country puled last week, you're right.

None of us should ever feel comfortable again as long as so many conservatives are paranoid whack-job conspiracy nuts who refuse to believe election officials from their own party who swore  up and down that the elections in their states were 100% fair and legit, and conservative SCOTUS Justices who stated flatly that there was ZERO evidence of voter fraud.

What's to feel comfortable about, especially given that most of these people are 2nd amendment gun fanatics and kooks.

But Socialists have NOT been in control of this country. Just because we as a country discovered that capitalism mixed with a few elements of quasi-socialism make the best form of government does not = socialists being in control.

I understand that self-interested conservatives who turn red-faced with rage, grind their teeth and shoot steam out of their ears when they think of a small percentage of their precious, precious tax dollars  going to help disadvantaged, underprivileged poor people eat and keep clothes on their backs and a roof over their heads, but that is still not "socialism".

It's called compassion. It's part of what makes us a society of (mostly) decent human beings.

Well, the left half anyway.

That tired old "big gub'mint interfering in our lives" nonsense is really funny coming from a member of the party/ideology that wants to tell women what they can and cannot do with something growing inside their own bodies. Or who can marry who. Or what you can smoke or ingest in the privacy of your own home.

:cry:Poooooor victims!!!!!

Actually, that is all just more right-wing baloney.

It's not conservative viewpoints they have started pulling off their platforms.

It's conservative LIES and PROPAGANDA,

See my above comments about the election officials and the SCOTUS's views on the election results. Meanwhile, almost every right-winger is still spewing garbage about that election being "stolen" from Trump.

We all know that garbage is a BIG, FAT LIE and we saw last week what that BIG, FAT LIE resulted in..... five dead including a Capitol police officer (two if you count the one who committed suicide), a 14 year USAF veteran and two others who were crushed to death in the crowd of right-wing maniacs who violently forced their way into the building.

And yet.... you still can't grasp WHY right-wing lies and goofball conspiracy propaganda are being pulled from public platforms????

Or maybe you can just no longer tell the difference between conservative opinions and right-wing BS.

Maybe that's because the two have become indistinguishable.

That's what you should be worried about.

Uh-oh. Since the election, FOX News is plummeting and CNN is on the rise. While it seems some FOX folk are going to Newsmax, even more are giving up the news and heading to Hallmark (which just cut Hawley off) and HGTV.

Who knows - maybe next they’ll watch RuPaul on VH1!

So I tend to steer clear of this thread, but this is just false. Honestly, your failure to know the difference is a bit alarming.

Fascisim is a far-right ideology with significant authoritarian and ultranationalism. (ie. Nazis, Fascist Italy)

Socialism is generally a left ideology, but its like saying that a light is on. How socialist is something? How bright is the light? Medicaid, Medicare, unemployment support, social services, public libraries, postal service, Amtrak, student loans, social security, veteran's affairs, student loans, government subsidies, corporate welfare (bailouts), etc. are all concepts that stem from socialism, yet the US is not what anyone who studies political and economic ideology would consider socialist. The light is dim.

Socialism also means different things depending on the context. In Marxist theory, it's the transitionary ideology between capitalism and communism. This would be akin to the brightest light using my previous analogy.

Lastly, just because someone calls themselves something doesn't make it true. The Nazis weren't socialist. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) isn't democratic or a republic.

Calling Democrats "socialists" is a conservative/Republican propaganda talking point.

It's meant as a demonization tactic to imply (falsely) that Democrats are somehow un-American.

As such, conservative Republicans run with it and repeat it ad nauseum in every social media platform or discussion forum.

Explaining to them how and why they are in error, is a waste of time because they don't care if what they say is true or not.

Just putting it out there is the goal.

Ever wondered what the minimum wage would be had it kept up with inflation, or more significantly, the nation’s productivity, as it did pretty consistently until 1968?

Just by inflation it would be $12/hr. Based on the nation’s growing productivity, it would be $24.
