The Republic Is Saved.

“A CNN poll released on Friday found Mr. Walker winning just 3 percent of Black voters, who make up about one-third of Georgia’s electorate. That is less support than Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, won when he defeated Stacey Abrams in the governor’s race last month, according to AP VoteCast, a survey of Georgia voters.”

From The New York Times

Georgia’s Black voters aren’t afraid to acknowledge the truth - Herschel has absolutely no business running for the US Senate.

theories.

‘"Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," Trump wrote in a post on the social network Truth Social..’

From CNN

Cheetohead thinks he’s more important than the Constitution- that’s today’s Republican Party. So much for democracy.

Top-tier gas today was $3.25/gallon. 7-Eleven was $3.19.

”At Wingstop, a fast-food chain based in Dallas, executives said the cost of bone-in chicken wings fell by nearly 43 percent in the quarter ending Sept. 24.”

From The Washington Post

They’ve got JOEMENTUM (even in Texas!) -who knew!?!

Everybody sing, “If You Had Wings”…

All this while Cheetohead is ready to dump the Constitution. Remember when Republicans said, “Country First”? Where have you gone, John McCain?

Good news from Sabato’s Crystal Ball, which is generally one of the most accurate at predicting election outcomes.

They have moved the race from Tossup to Leans Democratic. Stay tuned…

In the complete mess that is the Republican Party these days, Rep. Andy Biggs has announced he’s running for House Speaker.

To win requires 218 votes, which is really unlikely for the GOP given their narrow majority with two people running.

Mind you, this hasn’t happened in about 100 years. but then the Republicans are trying to take the country back about that far so I guess it’s fitting…

Now we know why Donnie didn't want to release his tax returns. He's $1.3 billion in debt, and he owes big money to some unsavory characters, including a company in North Korea.

Finally, what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. A restaurant in Richmond has canceled the reservation of a right-wing organization:

It goes both way, folks. We should do more of this until the wackadoodles recognize the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution (you know, the one Cheetohead wants to throw out) should provide access to everyone.

Once again, the GQP lied like a rug. There was NOTHING wrong with vote by mail or early voting except it let working-class folks vote when they could.

“What Republicans need is for Americans to vote early and by mail, Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel said Tuesday, delivering a message that starkly contrasts with former president Donald Trump’s baseless claims that voting by mail can lead to election fraud.”

From The Washington Post

It was nothing more than voter suppression and it backfired on them.

Had enough?

$1.3 billion debt on real estate in the most desirable cities in America. He will be alright. And the article makes it seem he has a lot of equity so he will be able to refinance as long as we do not have a black swan event.

His problems could come as a result of his severely damaged name and corporate brand now that his company has been found guilty of fraud.

Very possible that nobody will want to do business with them and they're also barred from any federal government contracts.

He could lose his Secret Service protection or at least, no longer be allowed to put them up in his hotels and charge the taxpayers for the tab.

Some of the pundits are starting to suggest DeSatan is the 2022 incarnation of Scott Walker. I hadn’t thought about it but the more I’ve looked into it, the comparison does seem apt.

Anyway, my first foray into retiring to Georgia hit a speed bump. Come to find out Macon has lost their Target and the closest one is 20 miles away in Warner Robins.

Of course, I can go Krogering with @HankStrong and they also have a Piggly Wiggly. My next adventure will be to the coast, over near Savannah. Stay tuned. I did work my way through which of the 159 counties are Democratic last night - there have been some surprises since I worked for the General Assembly way back when. Stay tuned…

Well, a little more sanity from the GQP today.

‘(Georgia Lt. Governor Geoff) Duncan told CNN last week that he didn’t vote for Walker, a former college and professional football player, in Tuesday’s runoff, saying he “couldn’t find anything that made sense for me to put my vote behind” him.’

Right-wing commentator Erick Erickson :

”No RNC Chair in the history of the whole party has lasted as long as Ronna McDaniel without seeing at least one winning election season. She took the job in 2017, and the GOP has lost every election cycle since.”

From Vanity Fair

It’s a pity they’re the party of guns and capital punishment, they’re gonna get blasted in this circular firing squad!

Given his recent debacle in the Ga Senate race, you might be surprised to hear anyone asking this question but the Sentinel’s Scott Maxwell shares with us that right-wing commentator Hugh Hewitt asked if Sen (and NRSC chair responsible for GOP Senate candidates) Rick Scott had plans to run for president in 2024. To everyone’s relief (except maybe @jack’s), Skeletor said no.

That will give the GOP plenty of time to figure out just how much NRSC money went into Rick’s pockets, given his previous issues with Medicare fraud and kickbacks from vendors on the SunPass and Florida unemployment systems as they delivered truly awful products to the state’s citizens. Did we mention when he took the 5th Amendment 75+ times during the Medicare trial and went sailing on a yacht in Italy even as the GOP’s Senate races were imploding?

They don't want to point out the obvious that someone else took office in 2017 and saw a loss of the US senate, the house and the presidency.

“There are those who will look at the outcome of this race and say that there is no voter suppression in Georgia. Let me be clear: Just because [voters] endured the rain and cold and all kinds of tricks just to vote doesn’t mean that voter suppression doesn’t exist. It just means that you, the people, have said that your voices will not be silenced.”

- Senator Raphael Warnock

It’s also important to note only ONE party tries to keep citizens from voting- Democrats have long wanted every citizen to have a fair and equal chance to vote.

Skeletor is such a fine judge of character:

“I’m really disappointed. Herschel’s a really good person and he’s a good candidate. He would have been a really good U.S. senator,” he said. “If you look at the guy’s background. He’s a successful business guy, he’s a successful football player, he’s a hard worker. If you meet him, he’s a sincere person.”

From The Hill

He’s such a hard worker he took five days off at Thanksgiving, less than two weeks before the runoff. His campaign staff was gobsmacked and disheartened.

Of course, Rick took off on a yacht to Italy last summer even as his candidates were tanking and fundraising was drying up. Why in the world does anyone like this buffoon?
