Imagine being a goober at city lights who has lived there two years max and thinking you own everything in southern downtown.

Pretty much everyone that spoke was from New York or LA. One person specifically said that they bought there to be close to downtown, but not in downtown.

That’s sort of a dichotomy considering they are in downtown or what Metro considers living in downtown, so you would think being from those two cities they would know the difference. I know one of the outspoken residents of CL is from Boston. If they want those views and want to be close to downtown but not in downtown, then it seems they need to be somewhere else to fit that definition, because CL nor anywhere inside the loop fits the criteria they are wanting.

From the info Taylor was feeding me the CL residents hired a Real estate/zoning lawyer to try to sink this at the meeting using various tactics like not allowing the Planning Commission to be allowed to question the developers. Strange indeed.

Four CL residents hired a lawyer. The lawyer submitted a brief ahead of time, and was nitpicking on all kinds of procedural issues during deliberation.

If most of them are from New York City or Los Angeles as someone who was there stated, are they goobers? Tell us why or why not?

Thanks for sharing! This looks awesome. I can only imagine that this will spur more development on that side of town, as there is a ton of space to grow in the area.

There is a ton of space, but the community plan and the downtown code will most likely need to be amended for it to thrive. We have had a fair amount of that discussion this thread if you have the time to look back through some of the pages. If they aren’t updated, the development path has a few more road blocks.
