Commuter rail between Durham and Raleigh

Recommended Posts

I cannot overstate how thrilled I would be if I could hop on the train to get to work. My wife and I live in Midtown Raleigh just 0.75 miles from Wegmans but work in RTP and Downtown Durham. No commuter rail stop in Midtown but I'm assuming BRT would get us to the station pretty quickly. Even if it takes slightly longer than driving I'd be willing to save the gas money/risk of an accident and dick around on my phone or something on the way.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Of course, even if this ends up going through, we won't see anything until 2030 I'm sure.......

Yes, Raleigh Union Station Bus Station will ultimately connect the future Commuter Rail, Intercity High Speed Rail, AMTRAK, and Bus Rapid Transit services. GoRaleigh bus system is also decentralizing with mini-hubs around key BRT and rail stations for faster localized service.
