Gibbs at Westfield Street condos

That's a big lot with a lot of potential. Rendering looks cheap.  Too bad it couldn't be a District West - Phase II.

I hope they at least include some street level retail along Westfield Street,  even if it is just a local walk-in corner-mart for all the condo residents in the area. Kind of a dead-zone between downtown and The Commons.

This location, up on the hill, would have been great for a taller midrise to overlook the skyline and Unity Park (I won't dare explore the thought of a highrise here). Townhouses could have been accommodated behind. I hope the City denies their monument sign they're showing in the rendering.

Planning Commission - Mayberry Village

Architecture has changed again.  Not crazy about these changes.

It will fit in with the other townhouses nearby. The rear elevations are incredibly boring. I’m glad they must have had guidance on naming of streets. The tennis theme will not be missed, though Mayberry Village needs work. Why not use Gibbs or Westfield, instead of a street you don’t even touch?! The amateur aspect of their submissions make me wonder how successful it will be. It’s a fantastic location.

Hmm, I wonder if there's been any tinkering with the site plan. At one time, I believe the developer had considered a mix of condos and townhomes.

I say this because last year's rendering shows uniform four-story massing with brick on the bottom half and vinyl on the upper half. It's okay, but it would be nice if they would mix it up a bit and provide some vertical and horizontal interest. This is a pretty big city block near Unity Park that's also walkable to downtown. People would pay top dollar to live in this location, there is no reason to go cheap/institutional on any detail.

To clarify -- there is no vinyl siding. It's cementitious siding.
