With so many projects going on, I figured I would make a new thread for the downtown Orlando Health campus. Here are some photos from this weekend along with some concept art.

 

First is the new Digestive Health Institute.

 

 

Next is an update of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute

 

And last is an unknown future construction site. I have heard that it is going to be a heart failure unit for a possible future heart and lung transplant institute.

 

Will be interesting to see what this campus looks like in 5 years!

You can't tell how big this is from the shots, but driving by it appears huge to be a specialty unit.

It's funny, I almost never see the "front" entrance of the hospital, but it does look quite nice. here Once the DHI and Jewett are finished, will be a nice and dense entry. Hopefully will be well-connected as well for easy movement between buildings.

From today. I do hope the density continues to move north and west towards i-4 in downtown. I like what they are doing. Hopefully they can get some more townhomes and residencies in this area.

I think I missed whatever is happening in your second photo.  Are they building something here, or is it just being used as parking/staging for the other two projects?

I'm actually not sure. I'll keep you updated! My understanding is that eventually they are going to demo the white brick building behind it and build something like a neuroscience institute.

I can't believe how little that Digestive Health site looks.  I mean that pickup feels like it takes up a quarter of the footprint.

Yes the addition doesn’t seem like it will be very large,  but they are repurposing most of the brick building behind it and making it part of the DHI.

Does anyone have a campus siteplan or rendering?  Driving through its impressive but very unwelcoming between the construction and just the general existing conditions.   Looking for greenspace, art etc
