Board Set To Approve Redevelopment Project

CLEARWATER - On Monday, the city's Community Redevelopment Board will accept Opus South Corp.'s plan to purchase Calvary Baptist Church and part of the land beneath City Hall and replace those buildings with a mixed- use project.

Although Opus was the only corporation to apply for the redevelopment project, city officials deemed it qualified for the job, said City Manager Bill Horne.

A 25-story building with 156 residential units with retail space on its first floor is planned for the church site.
