"Construction of a Moxy Hotel on the former Baymont Hotel site located north of 12th Street and east of Atlantic Avenue at the Oceanfront. The project site is approximately 0.54-acres. New site construction includes a building, horseshoe entrance, site utilities, landscaping and connector park improvements."

Moxy hotels are usually pretty stylish, haven't seen an ugly one yet. It'll be nice to see that South Beach vibe that seems to be implanting itself on the north end extended up Atlantic a bit. Perhaps we can get the rest of the hotels in the area to step their game up.

I pass by the one in Chicago quite frequently, so it's nice to see brands like this beginning to take interest in the Hampton Roads area.

This Moxy is in South Beach, so with VB going for more of a Floridian look I imagine the one here will look something like this.  EDIT: it also keeps a traditional enough look while being modern.
