A $3.63 million foundation permit has been granted to Subtext Developers to get underway.  A $78 million construction loan from Simmons Bank has also been secured.  The project will now be knowns as LOCAL Midtown, with some slight modifications from previous info: 307 units now instead of 286; a private cafe and rooftop lounge will be part of the design. Brinkman Constructors will be the contractor.

You are mostly correct.  It is a parking pedestal, but since the site is on a slight incline going up from east to west, I believe there will be a bit of digging on the west end of the site, but no more than 7 to 10 feet.

I love all of these mid rises on and around church street, it will truly help an area that needs the density. Not to mention the feel of driving in from the west seeing the gradual change in density of midtown to downtown.
