The V columns (don't know what else to call them) at the bottom are reminiscent of a tower that was under construction in Chicago fairly recently.

(110 N. Wacker/Bank of America)

As much as I live the architecture and plazas, I just wonder how inviting the plazas and street level will be. Hopefully it will be an inviting band activated area, and not just dead plaza space.

There is a LOT of retail with this one.

That's awesome we are getting a lot of retail. 110 N Wacker / BofA Chicago has a very massive lobby (that is pretty, but no use to the public) that takes up almost all their street frontage on Wacker, so would be nice if we got a better balance of retail. The overall building design looks beautiful.

Fortunately urban plaza design has gotten a lot better in the past twenty years. Even in Uptown we don't have a lot of "dead" plaza space the way I see in some cities, and newer outdoor spaces like the Mint Museum plaza are very well utilized.
