GBT River North, 3 towers of up to 38 stories, 3.7 acres

With that kind of money spent, I will bet that something special is going to happen with that 3.7 acres. They are going to have to build a lot to get a good ROI on the investment. Sixty million on on 3.7 acres is a hell of a lot of cash and its not even in downtown guys. That is almost twice what  they paid at the Cumulus site.

At least they don't have any neighbors to piss off about views being blocked!

My thoughts exactly. We may see them push the upper limits of the 38 stories they can build to on these parcels.

When I read that this set a record, my immediate first thought was "Wow it's not even downtown!" I do hope it will bring something special with that kind of price tag.

This kinda goes back to my earlier question on what the height limits are in this area. Even all residential could easily top 400 feet. Mixed use I could see approaching  450-500 feet. This company has history with some exciting buildings, and at this price for land , plus being so close to Oracle… we might get something really cool.                    
 

p.s -and we still don’t know what RMR has planned for the T/A site! That could be something special also!
