It makes you wonder how they are going to get that one floor on 9th, unless there is something to the site plan we don't know about.  That's always the issue when the site plan does not show up with the rest of the documents.

I am sure Taylor and myself will be waving a red flag when it does pop up!

STG is usually pretty good about this stuff, so I will bet they have the bases covered.

This may also be why they are doing the overall modification. The bonus height for the structures in Monroe and Rosa Parks should be relatively “easy” to achieve so it’s possible the modification is entirely due to the 9th fronting building. the trick with an overall height modification is project development team has to “exhaust” options within the bonus height program (“exhaust” can be subjective).

Well....bummer: Stoltz Real Estate has ended its intention to build the 10, 5, & 4 story  mixed-use project and is now seeking to sell the site.  They were unable to secure an overall height modification from  from Metro Planning Dept.

Ridiculous. This was a very attractive project on a main thoroughfare.

Agree completely that this is ridiculous. Am I correct that the height modification was for the 3-4 story component on 9th Avenue, not the taller structure on Rosa Parks?

It would help if planning heard more comments from people to support projects like this.

Correct. And it needs to be more IN WRITING comments in support. Showing up is one thing, but as everyone knows, unless it is documented, it might as well be a Unicorn trotting around Atlantis.

It was a modification for for all three components.

Completely absurd.  This project would have done wonders for this neighborhood.  What sort of person choses an abandoned auto parts store over a gorgeous, smartly planned development like this as their neighbor?   I will never, ever understand this mentality.

Grass roots, community activism is very strong in that area. And one person in particular stirs a lot of those pots. She has considerable pull in the city and communities. IDK if she was behind this. Regardless, the decision makes little sense. Frustrating.
