Looks like the developers of this new tower going up beside Audi field is seeking a petition to allow a Bowling Alley.

As part of a design review application filed this summer for a plot of land adjacent to the DC United soccer stadium (map), Hoffman & Associates is seeking a special exception to allow a bowling alley. Overall, the development is proposed to deliver an S-shaped building with 110 affordable senior one-bedrooms, 352 apartments, a new office headquarters for non-profit Volunteers of America (VOA), and 50,450 square feet of ground-floor retail, restaurant, entertainment, and/or performance space.

One of the other developments near Audi Field will have a full-sized grocer so this area (Buzzard Point) is really transforming pretty rapidly.

What this peninsula portion of DC (Southwest, Buzzard Point, Navy Yard) needs is a Target.

I think a perfect spot for a Target is off of South Capitol on the new development replacing the 7-11.

Is that last photo from the roof deck at "Modern on M"? Wonder if they'll ever bother leasing the retail space, now that the theater is back and the plaza across the way is completed.

Yes! It was.

I lived in Modern for a couple years. Now I live in Eliot. Which the rooftop views are really great
