I have known of this for 2 years prior to Covid  and kept it quiet with a few hints.  Last week I found a website from the developer with this information on it and these renderings.  More information should come out on Wed. in this Ledger article and other places this week.   From my undisclosed coastal NC location I present this and  from the now hidden webpage:
""Meet Charlotte’s newest 31-story, mixed-use community combining nearly 565,000 square feet of Class A office space, a 200-key hotel, 100 premier multifamily units, and 10,000 square feet of activated retail, anchored by an 8,000 square foot amenity terrace.""
Last photos are of the site I took a week or so ago.
I hope Riverside's and this Crescent project are going up at the same time.   #CharlotteRising and #Southend especially #Rising tall.   Crescent does great work as we have seen with their Ally Bank Center, their various apartment complexes and even their renovation at One Independence Center.

Oh the site is reappearing after it disappeared.

A mere extension of the Tryon Canyon. When it was said the gap closing between uptown and south end… they meant it.

Touche, Crescent.  Renderings that don't even try to contemplate Riverside's plans materializing.:tw_lol:

maybe not in size or height but this is solid great project.  Over 400 feet I think.  Like that hotel and you have to think after 2 years of Covid and they are still planning a hotel they have an operator in mind.  (and remember they brought the JW Marriott to town)

Any renders of Enterprise in the new building? I imagine it will be pretty upscale, perhaps even becoming a National location...

I started out joking about this but now I really want it to happen.

It is actually the one I go to if I ever need a rental, so I wouldn’t hate it. ;)

400 feet is no joke! I was hoping for 500 but this will impress too. The skyline is really extending.

Next step is to fill the gap between this and 277.

I would keep the neighborhood scale portion South End. This section really will be its own thing.

I approve of this area around Morehead and Carson as Downtown.

Rebranding this area perhaps allows us to shuck off the "LOSO" ridiculousness and just call it South End.

Also, I'd propose Downtown's southern boundary as East/West Station, and from there South End can begin.

I think I prefer using bathe Gold District still, unless that isn't a thing any more.....
