Proposal at 311 E. Second St. would rise 65 floors and house a 326 room Conrad Hotel as well as the 136 unit Conrad Residences Austin. Work is planned to start in late 2022.

[The ATX]

This is one of three residential high-rises Vancouver based Intracorp has either completed or planned since entering the Austin Market about three years ago.  They also have some infill condo projects in Central Austin.  Their first project was the 573', 49-story 44 East tower which was completed earlier this summer.  This would be their second project.  They also have a third project early in the planning stages at 301 W. 6th.  There is no height info available for that one yet, but it should be a tall one.  Intracorp has become one of my favorite developers because financing doesn't seem to be an issue with them, and they get their projects built once the City approves the site plan.  This is still waiting for City approval but should start later this year.  The site has been fenced for Demo, and a historical house being used as an office was moved.

This is one of my favorite projects that hasn't started yet.  The height and location will have a nice impact on the skyline.  It's still crawling through the city approval process.
