My vote has to go to Zio's. It's where "5 steps down" used to be located off Prov Rd in Eastover.

my vote would have gone tor Nirchi's, but it closed down years ago. Since I haven't had pizza in a while, I will try Zio's since it's the last one on the list

Tony's (never had it but EVERYONE keeps telling me about it)

Paluso's (Johnston Road in South Charlotte...haven't had it in a while, not sure if they're still there)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned House of Pizza on Central. Buttery crusts, cheese half an inch thick, toppings piled up so high you have to eat them with a fork after you finish the slice.

Not a dieter's best option, but MAN is that stuff good!

To tell you the truth i havent really had pizza that has wowed me in Charlotte......Tony's is pretty good but other than that everything seems to be mediocre......I've had better in Columbia honestly......CLT seems to have alot of NY style.....I like Boston style better

^Have you tried Portofinos? Their salads are good (particularly with their house dressing, that they make in the house). If you like sausage, ask for sliced italian, rather than the normal sausage. Very tasty.

Seriously. If anyone has any Boston style suggestions, I miss it. Especially the Greek owned House of Pizza style that we had up there. I wish we had a Town House of Pizza here. With a Pac Man tabletop game.

I went to the new Village Pizza next to the Dilworth HT yesterday. Good. Not amazing but tasty. I hope they last. Overall I like several different pizza places in Charlotte but yet to like them more than Andolinis in Charleston

Taste of Buffalo Pizza in Huntersville has good pizza. I always get the same thing, Pepperoni and Bannana Peppers. It's worth a try. Pretty decent wings too.

Donato's is pretty good for thin crust pizza. Their wings however are not good. They are clearly frozen and just deep fried to heat them up. Take a pass on those.

Villa Francesca at 7th and Caldwell is pretty good, but then again I don't know much about pizza - I usually just go to Brixx or Fuel.

For the far South, my wife believes Lorenzo's (Ardrey Kell and Marvin) is better than Tony's (Ballantyne Village) and Palone's (Ardrey Kell and Tom Short) -- all 3 being similar styles. I personally think they're all delicious and have a hard time differentiating between them.

yes i know it used to be a Mellow Mushroom, and i have heard a reliable rumor that MM is actively looking to return to Charlotte, in which case it will likely be my favorite once again.

I don't know any pizza places in Charlotte, but Iannucci's here in Asheville is good. So if anyone is in Asheville you should go there.
