I don't think you have to worry about this one.  I was in Nashville for a few weeks and I was in that general area a couple of times.  It doesn't seem to be slowing down.  I suspect there will be a bit of a lag post demolition, but it seems like it's moving along at a nice clip.  I wonder more about the project behind Hustler Hollywood and/or Deja Vu.

The site is completely barricaded off now and it looks as if JE Dunn will be the GC. This baby may start sooner than we thought!

CCB Nashville/Bosa Properties has hired J.E. Dunn as the contractor, and plans a fall groundbreaking for the first tower closest to Church St., which will rise 30 stories.  Also, there will no longer be a 250 room hotel as part of the plan....just residential and commercial. Some new renderings should be out within the next two months.

The article was a bit confusing in that it mentioned the first tower to go up would be on the south segment of the property (part closest to Church).  Isn't that the north segment?  Just want to be clear.  Super excited to hear this news.

Seems odd and atypical for a site pre-construction.  Any insight available from anyone?  Perception to me is as if the site will be dormant for awhile and we don't want any loitering in the interim.

That's how it strikes me too but I live on that street and drive by there all the time and there's a few homeless people who seem to congregate on a nearby corner so I'm wondering if that situation is playing a part in their thinking, I don't recall seeing razor wire on a construction site before.

"The South Phase will be a single-point tower with approximately 500 units that will average around 750 square feet," he said. "There will be a mix of studios, one- and two-bedrooms as well as three-bedroom townhouses and penthouses on the 44th floor. The 45th floor will house our rooftop amenity."

Love that last sentence!! 45 floors is an upgrade if I’m not mistaken

It was always 45 stories. This is a way for the Tennessean to get on record with the project sort of like the way they got on record with a hotel that is not happening on Lafayette for the first time.

The heading for this thread has 40 stories as the tallest tower. So apparently something has changed. (Heading has now been updated. Thanks, Mark.)

Here are two more renderings from the Tennessean article. The slim single tower is probably the 45 story building that will rise first? (I was too impatient to count the floors in the image with these old eyes.)

So we have any idea actually height estimated? I’m sure 44 or 45 will be well in the 400’s but i imagine it could push 500’
