WoW WotLK Classic: Kungen, the "best tank ever" plans a comeback

Recommended Posts

Does the name Kungen still mean something to you? Thomas Bengtsson Amèdèo founded the progress guild Nihilum and the esports clan of the same name in 2004 and bagged numerous world first kills. In WotLK it continued with similar success under the Ensidia banner. Now the self-proclaimed "best tank of all time" has announced its comeback for WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

When it comes to the most famous or notorious players in WoW history, a certain Kungen should not be missing. The name means nothing to you? Well, Thomas Bengtsson Amèdèo founded the progress guild Nihilum and the esports clan of the same name in 2004 and likes to describe himself as the "best tank of all time". His arguments for this thesis: Under Kungen's leadership, Nihilum was able to bag numerous world first kills. Later, members of the raid community joined forces with former players from Curse (SK Gaming) to form Ensidia, henceforth making a splash in Wrath of the Lich King. Kungen's impact on these achievements was so great that Blizzard dedicated a dedicated WoW Trading Card Game card to the player.

A rather inglorious highlight of Ensidia's creative period was the victory over the Lich King Arthas, for which the raid received a ban penalty. According to Blizzard, the guild used an exploit that was triggered by the engineering item Saronite Bomb. However, the bomb was an integral part of the damage rotation of the pros at the time, so Kungen and Co. could not understand the penalty. In Cataclysm, Kungen turned his back on World of Warcraft (buy now) because he found the game less and less fun with each expansion.

Time will tell whether there will actually be a furious comeback. It is rumored that Kungen had also announced his return for WoW gold Classic, but he did not really make a big impression at this stage. If you can follow his comeback, be sure to check out his Twitch channel in the coming days. The launch begins on the night of September 26th to 27th at 12:01 a.m.
