Founded as a farming community on the upper reaches of the Parramatta River 24km west of Sydney in November 1788, to supply food for the colony in Sydney, has grown into a thriving city and regional centre for the people of Western Sydney now home to more than 145 000 people. The Parramatta CBD is home to 35 000 workers and is projected to double in the years ahead.

Here's a map of Parramatta (UBD)
