NY Time Article on what to do in Charlotte

Here is an article that the NY Times ran a few days ago, it is a "36 hour" travel piece. Always nice to get an outsiders perspective on things:

In Charlotte, N.C.

Published: November 14, 2003

OVER the last 20 years, Charlotte, North Carolina's biggest city, has remade itself from a textiles town into an investment and banking center, the nation's second-largest financial-services hub after New York City (and about to become bigger if the proposed merger of Bank of America and Fleet goes through). The moderate Carolina weather makes the city a pleasant place to stroll in winter, while museums and hip shops are also a draw. And though the city has a thriving historic-preservation movement, you get the unmistakable feeling that Charlotte sees itself as a city of the future

Nice shot of Charlotte. I guess NY is officially recognizing the city, about time on that one.
