A new tower for Columbia?

How about this one in Pittsburgh?

It looks a bit like the 1 Canada Square in Canary Wharf, London. Cesar Pelli said : "It's a square prism with a pyramid like an obelisk, that's the perfect archetype of vertical architecture, the quintessence of skyscraper."

With all the developments happening. I wouldn't be suprise to hear a new tower development by next year.Especially since the meridian tower and the new bank head quarter tower is almost complete. That's 2 towers in a 3 yr period. Things seem to be really booming in Columbia!!

Well, Waccamatt has already told us to keep our eyes and ears open for an announcement for a residential tower somewhere downtown...I suspect South Main.

I think something on Main between the capitol and Blossom would be visible from I-126.

It should be visable from south main if you take a look at waccamatt's infamous pic of the skyline you can see much of USC's skyline.

I can't wait to see the next addition to cola's skyline. I think the next high rise will indeed have some height to it. A well designed tower will go well with the booming downtown development. I wonder why places like Greenville know about planned tower developments and here in cola everything is so hush hush until a month before the development actually takes place

I know about them early and drive myself crazy waiting on a bulldozer to show up at the site. I have not heard any more about the residential development at Main and Blossom.

This tower, called Terminus, is coming to Buckhead in Atlanta. It could really serve as a centerpiece in Columbia's skyline. I think it would look even better if it were about 15-20 stories taller:

i still say we need a cool modern mixed-use tower on south main ... like "the house" in dallas by stark and yoo. it's killer...

^That's OK. I've seen better mixed-use towers though. But I agree, something like that on S. Main would be great.
