Salt Lake City's Eastern Avenues Neighborhood.

The Avenues is one of Salt Lake City's oldest neighborhoods. It's located north of downtown Salt Lake City and at State Street merges with the Capitol Hill neighborhood. These photos were taken in the eastern part of the neighborhood by 1300 East and South Temple. Picture quality sucks, but that is because I had it on the lowest level - meaning I could take more pictures. When I get a memory card I'll go back and re-shoot this area.

You'll see that older homes dominate this area, add the fall setting and its a city-lovers wet dream. :)

Anyway, the homes here are diverse. Most are small apartments, which you've also got a lot of two-story dwellings and duplexes/rowhouses.

Anyway, enough of that, here are the pictures.

Typical apartment in the area.

Grass 'islands' create a block between the road. You can see some houses bunched together on the other side.

Now don't mind the crappy quality of the photos. :)
