Pensacola: Maritime park faces more scrutiny

The reality of meshing visions of a community maritime park on Pensacola's downtown waterfront with available dollars is the task now facing proponents of the 27.5-acre park and city officials.

The planned $70.4 million waterfront park will include a maritime museum, a University of West Florida research center, a multi-use stadium and a conference center. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2006.
