As far as skyscrapers go, the original R.J. Reynolds building in Winston-Salem is a beautiful example of art deco architecture. Designed by Shreve and Lamb, it served as the model for the Empire State Building, a commission that the firm received while RJR building. You can see evidence of the early NYC zoning codes that led to the setback tower.

Here's some more of the building Recchia likes, the Citizens Bank HQ:

Wow, nice pics. I love that building. Even though its tiny, I still love it. I don't know if it would look much better if it were taller.

Anybody got good original pics of 333 Wacker in Chicago? Or 225 West Wacker? Love those, as I said before.

Ah, gotcha, I'm assuming that's where the Grizzlies play then?

Ah...I stand corrected. I remember now it IS where the Grizzlies play. I forgot about them as they are kind of mediocre and forgetable team.

But anyway, yes it is a general purpose arena.

The Grizzlies have been to the playoffs 2 straight years and are becoming one of the teams to beat in the NBA but I digress.....

They don't play in the Pyramid anymore. They play in the brand new FedEx Forum.

I think in Shreveport it's a given which one is the best-looking. AmSouth Tower, being the tallest and most modern-looking tall building in Shreveport, is my choice. For those who may not know, it's the building on the left in this picture:

But I also like the Sam's Town Hotel tower, which is 23 stories and the Horseshoe Hotel tower, which is 26 stories. I think both of these are exceptional buildings on our riverfront skyline as well.
