Freedom Ride Inc. has announced plans to build the city of Orlando's first covered horseback riding arena. The new facility will be used to host local and national equestrian events and Special Olympics-Equestrian events and training.

The project cost was not disclosed.

The arena, to be 125 feet by 200 feet, is the first phase of a three-phase project that will include an administration and therapy complex, a parking area, covered walkways and a rider mounting area.

"The nonprofit is located in Ben White Park at 1905 Lee Road in Orlando."

Is there a Ben White Park in Orlando? I thought the Ben White family, pissed at the city for shutting down the raceway, refused to let the city use the "Ben White" name. So, I thought, it was called "Trotters Park."
