I don't recall a candy store in that building. The only candy store around there that I recall was in the Bumby Arcade, next door.

What I recall being where HM's is now, was a store called The Buffalo Trading Co.

Western wear and cowboy themed trinkets.

You could get yourself a gen-u-ine dried bull scrotum there.

I might have gotten one myself if they hadn't been so pricey.

Yes, but it was in the Exchange near the elevator and escalators.

Looks like there were a couple of them...

On each end of the escalators, one British and one German.

They're calling it 14 stories, with the first 7 being parking. I like that the parking looks completely enclosed, and not open/semi-open. It looks like all 7 stories are completely open for leasing.

It looks like they updated the sales site with a new rendering. Must be a very recent rendering since it shows a finished Citi Tower in the back. Could be interesting...

That's pretty sweet, looks like Citi Tower but has that Arcitectonica miami condo thing in the middle and different cladding on the other section

I walked by the site today and was thinking about this project.  Not much screening on the parking garage in the rendering.  This would really fill in a big gap.

The Embassy Suites is the building edge on the extreme left-hand side of that rendering, though the hotel and that corner look nothing like the way it is shown in the rendering.

I wish they'd go underground with that parking.  They could probably fit it all if they used all of their land.  Water table is not much of a problem there.  Paramount fit one floor below ground.

Capital Plaza III is closer to being real. Heard rumors that Highwoods is looking for a contractor and trying to secure leases for enough office space to secure financing. They are shopping for national general contractor/CM firms for a package deal to occupy a portion of the building in exchange for the construction contract (similar to what Lincoln Property Group did with Austin Commercial to build and occupy Church Street Plaza).  If that happens and they get a couple of more tenants to commit, we could see this start within 1-2 years. They are currently building out 2 floors of space in Landmark II for DPR construction (national GC/CM firm).  I think Highwoods is trying to establish relationships with multiple national CMs for a network of builders as the boom cycle continues in top growing MSAs across the country (don't tell IAR, but we are actually one of the top growing MSAs). 

I am sure they are trying to front-run CNL III and CSP Phase II.  The problem I see is the vacation of SunTrust space that will make them compete harder for Class A office space tenants to pre-lease. Highwoods know what they are doing, and I expect this to happen eventually.

I suppose it's too late to ask for the Winn-Dixie back now that we're mad at Publix. Oh well, a nice addition in any event for that stretch.

Update: I couldn't remember exactly which block the old W-D was in. It turns out it was at 117 S Rosalind which puts it between Pine and Church.
