That glasswork is truly amazing.

It kind of reminds me of the glasswork found in Vegas's Bellagio Lobby.

Yep, Chihuly did the glass leaves at the Bellagio! I would rank the permanent exhibit in Oklahoma City as the #1 thing to do on a visit. Go Thursday night, the museum is open later, you can get dinner at the wonderful Museum Cafe and then grab some cocktails on the rooftop!

I knew there was a connection.

I wish I could go, but I don't live in Oklahoma actually. I live in Arkansas in the Northwest booming portion, but the next time I'm in OKC, I'll have to check it out.

BTW, welcome to Urban Planet natureboy!!

The Colcord is going to be a boutique hotel with something like 60 rooms. It is set to open this fall. In the ground floor, there will be a new restaurant called Soleil. In the basement, there will be a nightclub called XO that is described as high-scale, hip, urban entertainment. I believe this will be the first nightclub to locate in the CBD area of downtown. Colcord is near Ford Center Arena and Cox Convention Center, so it should do quite well.

Great pictures, Jbrown. I love the skyline reflecting in the library windows and the Bourbon St cafe picture. You always get good, unique angles and I love your photos. And by the way, how perfect is the Galleria garage going to look with Colcord, OK tower, and Corporate tower? It fits them all really well.

The Colcord will have 108 guest rooms including a 1250 sf Presidential Suite. Colcord Hotel Website

Thanks. I have more experience with video but that's one thing I've learned to apply to photography--unique angles/vantage point. I do like the Galleria Garage. Now we just need a mixed use development between it and Sheridan. :D
