Fitzgerald update from mibiz 34 of 56 units sold. Project to be completed spring '07.

Another MiBiz update: NTH consultants will be the second tenant in Clear Water Place along with Pinnacle Insurance Partners. This is the renovation of the water filtration plant way (past Leonard) North on Monroe.

I believe these are reserved, not actual sold units yet.

MIBiz reported them as sold

"Sold" and "Reserved" get used interchangeably a lot in residential construction. And MiBiz tends to just regurgitate press releases verbatim. I would guess that since they haven't done any interior demolition or configured units in the Y yet, that they can't actually do purchase agreements yet. I could be mistaken. With that being said, 34 reserved already is a great start. Get em while they're hot!

The EGR condos sold in less than 90 minutes. I guess there were plenty of people in that area looking for condo living. With sales rates like this, I predict that the area will be greatly changed in the next decade or so.

So, I was looking for floor plans for riverhouse (seem to be off their website, now) and doing a Google search, found this thread. So, GRDad, how'd we do in '06? I'm not up on every project, but I'm pretty impressed that most of these did start/complete, or are at least still in the works...

The BRT thing could very well come true. According to tonight's epesode of the West Michigan Week show on WGVU whom interveiwed the head of the Rapid, the public transit service would like to do a BRT route on the S. Division corridor within ten years.

By the sounds of the article posted in the transit thread, it may be as soon as 2-3 years depending on getting federal funding. The feds are much more generous in funding BRT projects than light rail.

B.R.T. is Bus Rapid Transit. The term is very broad it mean anything.
