The Museum of Civilization and War Museum were free for Canada Day, saving visitors $15 in admission fees.

The War Museum has just moved to its new location west of Parliament Hill in May. As the skies cleared towards the afternoon, Ottawa's skyline became clearly visible from the entrance.

In 1759, the French and English fought at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City. It was the beginning of the end to New France. This diorama traces the battle from both lines.
