Somewhat biased in that I've lived in Florida but not NC, though I have been to NC several times.

I have chosen Florida.

I have been through both states extensively and have to choose NC. I do love FL, but I have to have four seasons and different topography for where I live. I love to mountian bike, snow ski, and swim and NC offers all of it. From the beaches to the mountains. I love the FL beaches though  . Especially the Gulf. It has NC beat in that department hand's down, but for me I still need more than just beaches. B)

I have to go with North Carolina because I see florida as a vacation spot. I hate the weather during this season but i also love its clear beaches. I Love North Carolinas beaches, mountains ,cities, country sides, lakes ,and most of all the safe beautiful weather.

Florida.

More cities.

Not just a vacation spot.

Diversity

warm weather (can get cold too esp in N.FL)

gulf

atlantic

The Keys

theme parks

Sports: 3 NFL teams, 2 NBA teams, 3 major CFB teams, etc

casinos

cheap cruises

etc

NC does have the mountains and 4 seasons though but i'd have to choose the Sunshine State.

i love nc too, it was  a tough decision for me, i especially love the winston-salem area since thats where i grew up, and i love the mountains.  to be honest i flipped a coin and florida won.

C'mon FC. Show some home town love. :P No, but seriously. It is hard to actually do a comparison of the states. It is like comparing apples and oranges. They are both very unique in their own way. Each should be enjoyed and admired for their own individual character. FL is definately a great place, and for what it is worth, I love it too! I think in the end it is all about personal preference. In the end that's all a poll are anyways.

If I had to make a choice I would choose...................ummmmmmmm..........Florida!

I am partial towards Florida because I love Boca Raton. It's close enough to Miami for the nightlife but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Growing up in Atlanta, it's not like we had snow all the time so I really wouldn't be missing that. We have mountains here too but I can count on my hands the times I have been to them. Naples, Key Biscayne and Key West (except from June to Septmeber) are some of my favorites also.

I love the sunshine, the palm trees of Florida! :silly:

Okay, let me settle down.....

I will say this though.....I find Charlotte so very exciting and charming and it does not take much to sell this area to anyone. I'm sure most of North Carolina fits the latter statement as well.

Live in Florida...so I voted the hometown bias route. I LOVE to vacation in NC, though. The Smokey Mountains around Asheville are incredible! The scenery in NC is really impressive! Haven't been to any of the big cities in NC (other than passing through Charlotte) so no opinion there.

I love living in Florida...namely Orlando, because of the diversity, nightlife, things to do, city atmosphere, and weather! Miami is a close 2nd in my book...South Beach, Ocean Drive, downtown, Coconut Grove...the list goes on.

  Ummm...did you forget about the winter in your state? Maybe I should have been more specific:

Give me beaches, palm trees, cities, and year-round warm weather!

 That should clear things up!

Yes it sure does clear things up.
