I called and left a message with someone at K2 Urban to get an update on this project, explaining that there is interest in the project and a desire to know more about the status as it pertains to groundbreaking ceremonies and such. Hopefully I'll have an answer soon, and be able to report something soon.

Did this project die? I noticed that the K2 sign is gone from the property and I didn't see it on their website anymore?

That's really disappointing. The renderings were beautiful and it would have really been a unique building for downtown.

I'm very sad to see that project go away. Given all of the law offices that have taken over the beautiful old houses along Park Ave., I was excited about seeing a beautiful residential development go in from my favorite Tallahassee developer.

Being that they spent so much money on the design, I don't see them completely abandoning the idea. I just think the timing is bad for the prices they expect to sell at. They came in at a time when it seemed like fewer projects were in the pipeline, but as it turns out we have more in the works than many of these condo developers expected.

I'm thinking the Floridan project may have impacted their concept of office space on the ground level. And possibly this Monroe 5 story office building as well.

The Cloisters have done nearly the same thing, live/work units, and I'm not sure how well those are selling. We used to have Cobyguy around who could tell us about these type of things, but I think Poonther scared him off. lol! God Bless his soul.

K2's got Evening Rose on their plate as well. It's been exciting to see the many projects they've brought to the area.

I think we're going to be very proud of evening rose at buildout. I love the work force pricing they're trying to start. Great idea, especially when taken as an initative.

What happened with 417 was that they basically sold all the smal office units and not enough condos. I think they are going to maybe use that land for a small single family home development but I'm not sure. I can find out later if anyone is interested.
