Canopies Down, Hope Up in New Center

A nice little article detailing some of the plans for New Center redevelopment. While I think they're doing fine so far in the livable housing stock arena (at least on the west side of Woodward; New Center Commons is my favorite area in the city followed by Virginia Park) they need to get the ball rolling retail-wise. I certainly hope they're successful.

Hmmm, the term "duh" applies here, I have no idea how I missed those the first time around...

Looks good, those canopies were awful, vast improvement....

Big time improvement. Im glad they are making improvements in that area. New Center always seemed to me like an oasis in that area and now it appears that it is going to spread.

Like I stated above I'd really like to see them upgrade the retail over there. It's not quite so spread out as downtown is and certain aspects of it are already well established. Have there been any new commerical aspects added since they built the St. Regis?
