Yes it was. And they said.. umm.. all of this economic gain was to come. Unfortunately that never happened. All we .. or should I say they have is a steel mill that pays very well. There probably are other companies that benefited but life still seems about the same around my old stomping grounds.

Im from the Queen City. Went to windsor park elamentry,eastway middle, garinger high class of 00, then i went on to JCSU. Im still in charlotte me and my wife plan to stay and retire here and live in the vue.

The chart surprisingly accurately represents the relative populations of the major cities. Durham is the only outlier... Durham's a tidbit larger than W-S if I remember the numbers correctly.
