Are they going to do another Pizzapalooza this year? I thought that was a great festival! Anyone know?

I'll be in GR and west Michigan this coming weekend (August 6th) and I hope there's some outdoor street fests going on downtown then as well! If so keep updating posts!

While you are in GR this coming weekend, take a quick drive (40 minutes) over to Grand Haven and check out the Coast Guard Festival. The last two days are Saturday and Sunday, and it is a HUGE event. Beach volleyball tournaments, ship tours, a lot of people watching, fireworks Saturday night, and lots of food and beverages ;) .

Also, you could pick up the Grand Rapids Magazine's City Guide at these locations:

There are quite a few things going on, so this is probably the best resource to start.

It's not supposed to be as hot/humid this weekend, so it should be nice :D

The coast guard festival was very fun, but wayyyy too crowded. I could barely find a parking spot.

Yeah. I thought about that after I suggested it. The weather was just about perfect this weekend.
