Summer Weekend Festivities in GR Metro

This coming weekend especially, there are a lot of festivals and events going on, most of which are free to get in:

July 23 - Jeep King of the Mountain Series, Pando Ski Area, Belding Road in Cannon Twp, 1 PM - 2005 Mountain Biking World Championship, free admission

22, 23 - German Fest, Calder Plaza - Food, BEER, entertainment, free admission

22 - 24 - Taste of Grand Rapids, John Ball Park/Zoo - Entertainment, food, beer tent

23 - Ionia Street Artists Market, Heartside Park - 10 - 5 PM

23, 24 - Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament, Grand Haven State Park- 9 AM

Are they going to do another Pizzapalooza this year? I thought that was a great festival! Anyone know?

While you are in GR this coming weekend, take a quick drive (40 minutes) over to Grand Haven and check out the Coast Guard Festival. The last two days are Saturday and Sunday, and it is a HUGE event. Beach volleyball tournaments, ship tours, a lot of people watching, fireworks Saturday night, and lots of food and beverages ;) .

Also, you could pick up the Grand Rapids Magazine's City Guide at these locations:

There are quite a few things going on, so this is probably the best resource to start.

It's not supposed to be as hot/humid this weekend, so it should be nice :D
