Since this is about a NC State grad I will put here.  She famously put her resume on a cake and sent it to Nike in Oregon and they did not bite literally and figurately  but she has now found her dream job in Durham!

Here is a rendering where Lincoln Harris will build this new building on the NC State campus.

""This 6-story building includes 327,520 square feet of life sciences and office space on roughly 1.9 acres of land, according to the site plans. The Board of Trustees of N.C. State's Endowment Fund owns the property where the facility will be built on Partners Way.

Lincoln Harris is funding the project. A cost estimate wasn't immediately available on Thursday.

The building, like others on Centennial Campus, will be geared toward expanding public-private opportunities and industry collaborations with the university, said Alicia Knight, associate vice chancellor of real estate and development for N.C. State. The building will accommodate various science, technology and research and development activities.""

I saw renderings of this new building at an event last fall. It has some nice design moments and thoughtful interaction with the Plant Sciences building next door. The LH rep had good ideas on how to activate the whole Oval Drive area. The street itself will be narrowed and rebuilt to have a more urban, pedestrian-oriented feel. I wish them success with the development of this area. Centennial Campus is lacking character and soul IMO, but LH and NCSU are trying to address that and the connection with main campus through these projects.
