San Antonio at night

SA Skyline needs a little work, but it's an awesome city. Love the river walk. Also, from what I recall it could use a little more DT residential.

Still, probably one of the most entertaining cities in TX IMHO.

What is that Seattle Needle type thing in SA?

Same thing it is in every city, a tourist observation tower :)

I'm curious who starting building their towers first, because Toronto, Vegas, San Antonio, Seattle all have them. Who's biting who. I think Toronto was first and Seattle first in US.

The Tower of the Americas was built for the 1968 World's Fair (HemisFair) held in San Antonio. I think this fact is the most interesting thing about the tower...and that it is actually taller than the Space Needle in Seattle, which was built in 1962. I think such towers are one of a city's crown jewels, given the view they provide, if nothing else.

I agree that San Antonio's skyline could use a little work, it's still pretty nice though.

I loved the Riverwalk when I was in SA, and the city itself is very intersting.

The skyline isn't the best, but most of the buildings are still nice.
