Braddock High school (the Bulldogs) is the largest in Dade county at 4,600+ students. Talk about getting lost in the crowd.

My high school in was in the 2,500 hundred range.  We were nicknamed the SilverHawks.  It was lame.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Our mascot (at Chapel Hill High) is the Panther and our colors are Purple, white and gold. What's really lame about our school is the name of our gym, "The Purple Palace". Not necessarily the most intimidating name for a school with the 2nd best Boys Basketball team in the state last year.

My high school was Vetavia Hills High School outside Birmingham. We have about 1700 students. We consistently are one of top two public schools in the state in terms of SAT scores, percentage that goes to college, scholarship money awarded per capita, etc. A few years back Tom Brokaw came to the school to do a special for Dateline NBC naming us the #1 public high school in the country for mixing academics and athletics. In the 1990's we won 9 state titles in baseball and were 1998 football state champs and won many other titles to go along with that. Not to mention we are 6A, the high classification in high school sports in the state.
