South Tampa: proposed 26 story tower delayed

Atlanta-based Southeast Capital Partners plans for a $50 million, 26 story tower on Ysabella Ave, near Barcelona St. will be delayed while the developers finish creating its vision.

What is around that location? I haven't seen those streets on a map.

It is mostly commercial and multi-family residential. There is a mid-rise office building and another condo tower right next door.

Wow! I missed reading up on this one. Maybe if the buildings' design complements the neighborhood they may be for it. At those prices, they shouldn't have to worry about a bunch of low-income people moving in, not that any are already around there. I'm not familiar with that location, so I'll just look on a map.

It seems unusual for South Tampa to have a tower over 10 stories inland from Bayshore. Seems like all the towers are on the water along the Bay once you get south of Swann.

An anomaly, or sign of things to come????

At this location, the Selmon Expressway passes two blocks from Bayshore. The site actually borders the Expressway, with commercial uses to the south and residential to the north.
