Nice pics of the hometown.  The skyline of New Orleans will be seeing dramatic changes in the next couple of years...2 Towers over 800 feet to be announced (one over 900 feet) in the next 6 to 9 months!

^alon you are the first person from New Orleans that i've seen post here(other then me)

I am really looking forward to seeing what these buildings will look like, and the fact that theyre privately funded is great, N.O. wont have to supply any of the money.

The tower that is planned to be 950ft is mixed use(condo or hotel, offices, and maybe street level shopping) and could help draw more bussiness to the city, and the other 850ft tower is a condo tower that will help bring more money to N.O.

thanks for the replies on the pics everyone

What tower is currently under construction on Poydras?  I was there last weekend and noticed it from the pool on the third floor of the new Marriott at the convention center.  Nice views from there!

I think what you are refering to is the new Harrahs Casino Hotel, it is upposed to be around 30 stories tall and is supposed to be completed in early 2006

I love that second pic of New Orleans. Its one of my favorite shots of the city. It shows off just how large and dense New Orleans is.

I really love those trolleys too, I'm a big fan of trolleys.

Does anybody have any pics of the old "Huey Long Bridge". That bridge is so cool. I like the idea of the rail-line running down the middle of a motroway bridge.
