KDKA's "other" world's first station

While surfing around the other night I came across this:

It is the early history of KDKA TV Channel 2 in Pittsburgh which signed on the air in January of 1949, not very "early" as far as licensed TV stations which were coming online in 1946 and 1947, and broadcasting "non-licensed" TV stations were airing as early as the mid-1930s in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. I always realized that KDKA was no where near the first TV station either in broadcasting or licensure, unlike its radio station which was the world's first and had many of broadcasting firsts such as sportsgame, elections, music, stereo, religious service, etc.

KDKA TV was the world's first "networked" TV station and it was the station of KDKA that made that "network" possible. Interesting history on it. Also it was the "financial" HQ for the Dumont Network of "Honeymooners" fame.

Just thought that was very interesting.
