AirTran comes to Detroit!

On November 8, 2005, AirTran will start new service at Detroit Metro with flights to Atlanta and Orlando. Service to Sarasota, Florida begins February 2006.

Hmm...I always though AirTran was at DTW. Good news for Detroit. AirTran is pretty good for a low-fare airline.

I just hope this doesn't suck the life out of Bishop Airport in Flint. It's our second busiest carrier.

Yeah sometimes I wonder what AirTran is thinking. AirTran just came to Richmond, VA about 2 weeks ago, but it is already at a smaller airport 25 miles away in Newport News and doing very well there. Now, who knows what will happen because people from Richmond used to drive to Newport News for the low fares.
