Baton Rouge City Profile

Look what I found. There's another Baton Rouge in South Carolina. I never thought another city would have a name B.R.

Wow, I never knew that. I see just up to the northeast from that town, a town called Cedar Grove. Cedar Grove is also the name of a south Shreveport neighborhood which at one time was a suburb. Very interesting. There IS only one Shreveport, though I've had some people argue with me in the past to the contrary.

Dan your a mad man on UP. Only you could find another Baton Rouge; never in a thousand years would I have realized there was another BR anywhere else in the U.S. The Weather Channel website does not even list it! I wonder if there is an actual "red-stick" in SC?? It looks about the same size as a red-stick....wonder what the population is over there?? 27???

I have never heard of another Shreveport either...but give Dan the man a little time and he might just find one?

^Thanks. :) Actually the way I discovered it was a dating website popped-up a few months ago and I typed in Baton Rouge, just to see what came up and it listed two: one in Louisiana and one in South Carolina. So I searched different websites and couldn't find anything.Well, recently I was using mapquest to find a road in B.R. and I typed it in and two came up and I went from there. Also if you want to find an aerial view of an place use mapquest. It has a little bit lesser quality, but updated pictures.

Wow nice LACAP rendering Dan. It's nearly complete...a nice addition to the eastern CBD.

^ Thanks yall...want to keep the BR Profile rollin'.....

BR's Tallest Residential "For Now"is this retirement community

Catholic-Presbyterian Apts. (14-stories)on the southern-edge of Spanish Town on North Street

Not the most attractive; but better than the hideous monster dorm at LSU.

Kirby Smith Hall at LSU is nearly the same height.

These two residential bldgs. will be bumped down to #3 and #4 once River Place and a proposed condo @ Southgate Towers are built.

From St.Philip Street (sorry for powerlines)

It makes for a nice boxing venue "Rumble on the River", there have been some good matches!

I like that shot Nate, thanks for posting. The Atrium is a nice boxing venue. I wish the Sheraton would have been at least 5-floors taller.

My guess is that they didn't want to build a big hotel downtown because they didn't know how many people would actually want to stay down there.
