True, but Orlando is also the only one on this list that doesn't have any form of public rail transit serving the downtown core.  Anyway, my list would be just about the same.

1. Miami (hands down winner)

2-T. Tampa (taller compact skyline over Jax)

2-T. Jacksonville (bridges add greatly to skyline)

4. Orlando (needs more height & density)

I agree with your consensus Lake; also, all of the cities downtowns are dead and buried after a certain time and that's sad.

I had a friend visit from Germany and I showed him most of Florida's major cities, especially at night. When he got ready to leave he told me, "it's ashame about American cities, all those tall buildings and nothing happening!" :(

Miami has the biggest skyline & water

Jax has the bridges

Tampa has more bulk than Jax w/ but water

Orlando has the I-4 concrete river!!!

Land is unique. Apples and oranges:

Jax & Tampa are like Pitt, Cinci, Louisville, etc...

Miami is like Chicago, San Diego, Toronto, etc...

Orlando is structured like Atlanta.

Atlanta has an awesome skyline. Orlando probably can never get to that point, therefore, could never win in this category.

Tampa's skyline is nice and compact, the buildings are unique and diverse in character which all add to its charm. I'd say it has the nicest Florida Skyline for that reason, not because it has the most buildings, but because the buildings are nicely spaced and all compliment one another.
