The treasures shown here of Greenville by members are simply amazing! It's like being apart of a beautiful but "other" world...If I were ever to relocate back to my native South Carolina, the Greenville area would be at the top of my list...

Love the photo puskunk. I also found another one of your fountain photos on flickr interesting.....the one of the Peace Center fountain looking through to Riverplace. I think it's the first time I've realized the symmetry.....the way the Peace Center fountain and the Riverplace fountain line up. Thanks!

Zahc, I cant speak for the rest of the guys here, but I for one relay appreciate this

comment. I think that everyone that post on this thread cares deeply for our City/

County and realize Greenville is an "other" world, that keeps getting better everyday.

Thanks for the comment.

:offtopic: Did anyone else catch the sunset last night? Clear air, sun setting through angry clouds, with the Blue Ridge in the background. If only there was somewhere high enough I could shoot the downtown skyline with the sunset and mountains in the background.

Edit: Since people seem to like it, this will make it on topic. A picture of that fountain behind the Peace Center facing the other way.

I was sitting in West End Field freezing my arse off during that sunset, but it was beautiful. I've wished that wish (a high location in Greenville from that angle) a few times, myself. It would be nice to have a tower or mountain or something to shoot from.

It is funny that you guys mentioned that. I was driving back into town on I-385 last evening and thought how perfect a photograph that scene would have made if shot from the top of Lowndes Hill. The mountains and the golden rays of sun piercing through the dark blue and gray clouds were surreal.

That's exactly where I was, probably around the same time.
