30Nov03: New Tacoma Photos

6 posts in this topic

A little dedication to my son, who apparently is going to be a good and solid

future urban warrior! ;)

He even took several of the photos (with plenty o'help) below and rode

some of that silk-smooth new Tacoma rail for the first time.

Photos from last Sunday. (Filler quotes above pictures are some Ayn Rand

stuff... heh.)

Looks like a nice city.

There was an article in the Architectural Record (p. 110, Aug. 2003) on the Tacoma Art Museum, and I must say I was impressed. There is a fantastic picture of an overhead view of the museum, those condos in your 5th pic. the suspension bridge, and a domed building in the distance reflecting a beautiful sunset/sunrise.

I like the LRT system but IMO, the paint job on the cars is quite ugly.
