jayblogger
http://www.thecarconnection.com/Shoppers/D...241.A10053.html Traverse city... I've driven past that before. It's on 72 west out of Traverse on the way to Empire. It always makes me when I see it.

jayblogger
So what are the best and most wacky street names in Metro GR? I vote for "Easy Street" off Byron Center in Wyoming. Who came up with that one?

Who came up with that one? My favorite is Podunk Road off of M-57 near Greenville.
RustTown
This seems as good a place as any to post this. I recently found a newly created website for Bridgewater Place (office building). I just thought some may be interested in seeing it: http://www.bridgewatergr.com/
MJLO
yeah that makes sense. They are really going to start advertising too, since one of their largest tennants moved to the suburbs.
snoogit
Take a drive south on fuller from Plainfield and your bound to find some of the zaniest names streets in Grand Rapids. There is a Calgary Rd. and Edmonton Rd. and an Alberta Rd. There is a Sweet St. a Short St. which is as small as a city block. I can see the nameing meeting for that one Commissioner: "What shall we call this one?" Commissioner2: "Well its kind of a short off street" Commissioner: "Thats it! Short St.!" For the road with the most goofy names intersecting with it, it has to be Fuller.

I've always had a meeting like snoogit's in my head, but it sounds more like a Cheech and Chong skit.
andrew.w
Of course strange as they are, these roads actually have names. Ludington has an infamous "No Name Road" just north of its central downtown

MJLO
Isn't it like a private drive? I thought the person who lived in the house, named the street.

I didn't name this street I'm only bringing it up in the context of this discussion. Savannah, Georgia has an actual street named Black Weiner Rd. The first time I saw it on a street map my chin about hit the floor. I was sure someone at the printer had slipped that one in as some sort of joke. So I drove over to see if it was really there, guess what it was. Complete with street signs. Not to mention a church having the poor fate of being located on said road.
