How big of a deal is Halloween in Grand Rapids? I have always loved Halloween for the legends, history, and often times a continuing legacy of older historic buildings.

Does anyone do a Haunted Ghost Tour of any of the historic districts? (Oakwood would be a great building on that one)

Halloween is huge on the party scene here in GR. Starts the weekend before and goes to the weekend after.

I don't think there is a haunted tour in the historic districts, why don't you plan one?

Don't forget The HAUNT, the areas largest indoor haunted house staffed by over 100 trained actors and actresses. I guess it opens on the 30th of September.

Last year there were coupons available on the website for $10 passes I believe, and even more coupons being passed out to businesses for $5 entry. I got ahold of one of the $5 coupons. I guess just keep an eye out for them this year. It was worth the price I paid last year, but definately would not be worth $14.

I've seen a couple already. There's one next to Best Buy on the E-Beltline and 28th. Then there's always the Kostume Room on 36th just west of 131 which is always open.

Spend the few $ more to get the kind that can be fitted to your own teeth - I got some a couple years ago. I wore them for a good chunk of time that Halloween. They looked as realistic as vampire teeth can look and they're reusable! Maybe I'll have to be a vampire again this Halloween...
