Great shots indeed! I love the one with the railroad tracks (as well as the rest of them)!

Also, I like your shot of South Main Street and it made me realize how it feels like you're stepping back in time. Seriously, looking at the street lighting and landscaping, the West End is really a trip to the past. The city has done a FANTASTIC job!

Sorry about being late on this guys, but there is a suprise, brought to you by the Greenville Drive; man that rhymes. MARK YOUR CALENDARS: On March 18 and March 25 from 2 PM-5 PM, there will be free hot dogs and 1.00 drinks at the new ballpark. You can also buy single game tickets on these days. For more info, just look at the advertisement on page 20 in the upstate weekend section of today's Greenville News. (3-10-06 edition) :D

Sunday, March 12, 2006:

For the first time ever, I was escorted out today. They're taking their construction very seriously along the Field Street side; however, I was told that the South Main Street Entrance off of South Markley Street is open and that I'm welcome to go stand over there and take it all in. So, be fore-warned to stay away from the Field Street Entrance Plaza and that side of the ballpark for now!

Here are today's photos!

Needless to say, there is quite a lot of buzz about the ballpark, the team, and opening day:

I love the new Hubbell Lighting that's been installed:

Outstanding photos RT!!! The guy escorting you out doesn't look too amused though. :) Did you tell him he'd be famous and show up on UP?

You know, the ballpark by itself, would have been great. The Fieldhouse by itself would have been great. Together, this is one spectacular project!

This may have come up in previous post, but has anybody noticed the presence that the Fieldhouse and ballpark have when heading over the Academy Street bridge toward West End?:thumbsup: Great view!

Yea - I've noticed that. What really impresses me is that they have a presence from Buncombe/West North Street off in the distance, especially now that the lights are up! It's great!
